Do not like the fact that I as a shipper can not communicate with the service provider till after accepting bid, this left me with a last minute drop out with a service provider. After paying the deposit I feel that I should not have to apply to get a refund instead of a credit towards a future shipment. I have mixed feeling for uship being that I had both bad and good providers.

I have to say the experience was one of complete satisfaction. Living in Ireland and having boats moved is always a nightmare, you never know who's in charge of your goods. Shipping a boat from texas to alberta, I found that the estimate was very low compared to the actual bids i recieved. this may have been cost of gas increase, but plan a bit more budget before you buy. our shipper was excellent. all in all a good service, easy to use.

I used Boattrader.com to find the right boat. Once i did, the bid estimator encouraged me to look into the uship setup. It was easy to figure out and I eventually chose Timothy Ginalski who delivered as promised. This is a brilliant way to sort the moving of items remotely. Well set up and it works!

My only concern with UShip is the web interface...it would be good to be able to respond to emails easier vs. having to log on all the time. The bid process is easy. Little difficult if you are trying to get good communications established between you and shipper's.

I needed to have a vintage OB motor picked up in N. Calif and delivered to Port Townsend Washington. The PO of the motor was unable to palletize it as it is 60" long and won't fit a standard pallet. So this carrier picked up the motor mounted to an engine stand with wheels and delivered it for a reasonable price. The willingness of the carrier to do this made the deal possible.
