I needed to ship a motorcycle from Syracuse New York to San Diego California. Dad gave up riding after 55+ years and wanted me to have his 2002 BMW R 1150 RT. I gladly accepted. I am a 55 year old male professional engineer that quit riding 26 years ago when the first child arrived. Now that they are grown and on their own, the risk of riding is only to my self and my wife. She is not happy about it, but I'll ride sparingly, at least at first, to keep her at ease to the extent possible. I grew up on motorcycles. On the back of my Dad's first of 4 BMW when I was 4 years old to riding in the dirt and street until I was 30, when the first kid was in the oven. It's been a while, about 26 years, but it's just like walking. You never forget how or the lose the desire.
