My customer and I had to agree on a shipping price before we were given the order (insurance claim). Our bid was within the amount agreed on within hours of listing. Customer got his product and we did not have to come out of pocket for shipping.

A positive experience as far as the actual shipment goes. However, the bidding experience was very frustrating. Shippers raised initial bids if you asked a question and in one case, quoted a price, promised to get back to you with adate while other bids expired and then did not get back to you.

I had a 27' trailer that needed picked up and shipped from IA to AZ or CO and the dealers we all quoting around $1,700.00. I listed the trailer around midnight and by mid morning I had several competitive quotes including the one that I accepted for 38% of what I was quoted from the dealers.
