First experience with UShip easy sign up and easy to pick a carrier.I had 2 boats shipped.Very satisfied.One question I had referring to truckers who carry extensive insurance are they just saying that or does UShip make sure they have proof of insurence?

We bought a new (to us) boat that was located in Florida. We needed to have it shipped up to where we live in upstate NY. The boat company recommended a shipper but they wanted to charge $800 more than the average bid on u-ship. The person whose bid we accepted was highly professional, delightful to work with, and very knowledgable. We felt very secure knowing the boat was in his hands.

Don picked up my boat at 3:00 Tuesday in Texas, and had it to the Sweetgrass Montana border crossing by 11:00 Thursday morning. Found Uship during a web search for shipping companies to tow my new boat purchased on Ebay from Northern California to the Canadian border. I already had two quotes when I came across Uship and within a day I had 7 or 8 more and definitely saved money and found a great shipper at the same time. My trailer was in such bad shape, the the transporter could have just left it there. but he stayed, and helped me fix all the issues for a whole 8 hours. he did charge me extra, but the amount charged was more than a good price. Plus this guy has almost become one of my favorite pall. we bounded together during these 8 hours of work, and I would trust Bill with all my shipements.

It was great to get this done at a reasonable price. Calling suppliers directly left me guessing if it was a fair cost to ship my boat. After trying uShip, I had several bids to choose from which allowed me to get the best price and choose a supplier that had good reviews as well. Do not like the fact that I as a shipper can not communicate with the service provider till after accepting bid, this left me with a last minute drop out with a service provider. After paying the deposit I feel that I should not have to apply to get a refund instead of a credit towards a future shipment. I have mixed feeling for uship being that I had both bad and good providers.

I have to say the experience was one of complete satisfaction. Living in Ireland and having boats moved is always a nightmare, you never know who's in charge of your goods. Shipping a boat from texas to alberta, I found that the estimate was very low compared to the actual bids i recieved. this may have been cost of gas increase, but plan a bit more budget before you buy. our shipper was excellent. all in all a good service, easy to use.

I used Boattrader.com to find the right boat. Once i did, the bid estimator encouraged me to look into the uship setup. It was easy to figure out and I eventually chose Timothy Ginalski who delivered as promised. This is a brilliant way to sort the moving of items remotely. Well set up and it works!

I was a little worried about the distance the boat would be towed and not being able to talk to the company or person making the haul. I used Mach 1 and everything turned out as planned. Great service!
