Boat tow
I needed a small boat towed from Vancouver to Calgary. The first bid I accepted from Ironman towing turned into a gong show. His email did not work, only one of the phone numbers provided worked and it went to his voice mail every time. I spoke with him once and he said he would call me back the next day. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from him nor could I get in touch. I would recommend chec ...

Bringing two 20' boats on trailers home to me
The web pages on Uship were helpful in getting the bid out - the web pages did not accomodate the ability to pick up two items at two different address IE in Florida and then deliver to two different addresses in Ontario. So need to clarify this with the trucker after the bid was offered and accepted. This could be a problem with some truckers - but not for BOB.
Bob ran into some problems whil ...

alcan 370
I had a hell of a time finding a company to ship my 37' houseboat. The trucking company (Johnson trucking) promised me three times he would call me back and didn't. I put an ad on uship out of frustration and desperation due to time restraints. Within a day I received a fair bid on my shipment of my boat and I jumped on it. Uship and Phil saved my ass! Really impressed with everything. Thank you!

Shipping a boat
I purchased a boat and needed it shipped to a pickup location. I found the uShip site on the Internet and investigated what services were available and testimonies from previous customers. After reading that many people had similar needs and there were many satisified customers, I decided to try uShip.
When I submitted my service request, I received several bids and the question and answer ca ...

Great experience shipping my boat and trailer
I bought this new boat and trailer from a dealer in Quebec and had it shipped out to Alberta. Most shippers wanted to just pull the unit behind their vehicle all the way out here, but these guys put it on a flat deck trailer so no wear and tear on my boat trailer.

Getting Pontoon Boat, Motor & Trailer shipped from Port St Lucie, Flordia to Houlton, Maine.
I was very leary to get involved with this hold process because it was all new to me. And I asked alot of questions trying to get comfortable with uship and the service carriers and the bidding process.
Its hard just clicking a button and accepting a bid not knowing where your money or investment was going to end up. And had no problems with uship and got me the exposure i needed to attract the ...

Great experience shipping my boat & trailer
Shipper picked up boat and trailer, notified us of all flaws. Gave daily updates of his progress. We were meeting the shipper at the boarder however turns out his next pickup took him right by our house so he ended up delivering the boat right to us – work out wonderful!
Will use U-Ship again – experience was wonderful!
Thank you

TOWING A BOAT
I bought a 22.5 ft deck/double deck boat and needed to haul it from one end of Ontario to the other. I wasn't too keen on having to 'chance' the drive there and back in my older truck. Not to mention, I've never hauled a boat this length of distance.
Therefore, I decided to try out USHIP to see if this would be a better alternative and one I could afford. It was the best decision I made! It to ...

uShip website problems
My experience with John Miller at speedy2010 and the actual shipment was first class, but I did have problems with the uShip website and system. For example, though I had marked the shipment as "completed" and had left feedback, I still get email asking for feedback, and my prfevious feedback seems to have disappeared! Generally, I have found the uShip website awkwArd and confusing, even though I ...

Hurricane at your heals!
After having made a wire of $50,000 for my new boat that I purchased through eBay, sight unseen on the other corner of north america, the vendor sent me a note; "your funds are in my account the boat is now yours - you should get it soon as there is a hurricane coming this weekend..." I quickly discovered Uship, and learned about the online reputations, and selected a shipper that quoted a re ...

Shipping 24' Chaparral
Tim arrived ahead of schedule and in the pouring rain, loaded our boat. He made sure he had a trailer that would fit -- it was brand new! When the crank mechanism broke (obviously a defect), he was prepared with heavy duty straps and tie downs and our boat didn't budge an inch for the six hour trek.
Great job Tim!

First times!
This was my first time using U-Ship as well as the first time having something if this magnitude shipped by anyone. Not to mention my first boat. I must say it was a long and lengthy process to finally get everything in order and to finally have Syclonus pick it up. Simon made me rest easy and in no time the boat left Saskatchewan and made to my driveway in Gatineau safe and sound. Thank you Si!

Made things easy
So I'm from Montreal and I wanted a boat that was in Saskatoon SK. It wasn't very big, 13ft, but still over 3000 kms away. Discovered UShip, easy to post, got lots of bids and questions. I ended up taking a shot on someone new, but once I knew their story, I felt comfortable. Everything worked out even better than expected, and I will probably buy or sell something that needs to shipped thanks to ...

Crossing the border with a boat
Getting the right shipper is critical. Not all of the bidders understood the process, or had the proper documentation or insurance. Dodge Creek knew the ropes and gave me some great advice.

boat shipping
It all worked out fine, but as a first time customer, it is uncomfortable entering a contract for shipping with a shipper I had never met, could not look up, and could not speak to on the phone.
My service provider was good though, so it all worked out.

Shipped my boat
Shipped my sailboat from Toronto to Vancouver recently. Used uShip for the 1st time and very happy with the results. Ended up selecting Blake from Ushipwithpierce. Everything was as expected and the boat arrived early. Blake was professional and friendly.
If I ever have to ship something again I would not hesitate to use both uship and Blake Pierce.

I wish all carriers would subscribe to this service to broaden the range of delivery services. Relying on FedEx or USPS, etc for international deliveries of even small items is is not my favorite thing.

Deliver 240 Sea Ray BC to NWT
I bought a 240 Sea Ray, and needed it shipped from BC to the NWT. I had heard about UShip, and decided to give it a try. The Uship site is a bit confusing, and once posted, very difficult to change (currency, locations). The deposit required by UShip seems a bit high for what they provide, which is basically a forum to connect shippers with service providers.

Great experience the second time....
I hired Mark from Legacy Boat Carriers and he was a complete no show. Really unfortunate that a big company like UShip, uses such an unreliable fellow.
However I did hire Blake from Pierce Towing and had exceptional service and communication throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend Blake to anyone.

Great job with my boat
Jim took great care of the boat and was very thourough when handling it (noticed small details that others may have missed) so it arrived in great shape. I was also kept informed of the status which was important to me as I needed to schedule a crane to offload the boat. Thanks Jim.

Seadoo boat
For me to get this boat from Kenora to St. Catharines would never happen for the low price I was quoted from Tim. Saved me time and money at the same time. Can't say that often. Would use him and uship again and again. Great for the customer and for the independent truckers out there.

Boat moving at an affordable price
I purchased a tandem trailer to move my sailboat from Gananoque to Vernon B.C.
After getting several quotes over $12,000 from boat hauling companies I put an auction up on the uShip website to see if I could actually afford to move the vessel.

Shipped a Sailboat from Iowa to Washington destined for BC, Canada
We had Witter shipping deliver our Hunter 260 which we bought used from a fellow in Iowa. We saved some cash buying out of the USA and were happy with the uShip experience.
Some of our bids were as much as 3 times the price, so the money we saved allowed us to make a vacation out of meeting our shipper in Washington, over a 12 hour drive from the central interior of British Columbia, Canada.
