Once i understood the uShip system i would have to say it does work well although it does feel odd to commit to ship something with someone you haven't spoken with directly. I suppose if you dont like them you can cancel the shipment but you will have already paid uShip their fee in order to make contact with the shipper . All in all my shipment and price worked out well .

My only concern with UShip is the web interface...it would be good to be able to respond to emails easier vs. having to log on all the time. The bid process is easy. Little difficult if you are trying to get good communications established between you and shipper's.

Shipping a boat from texas to alberta, I found that the estimate was very low compared to the actual bids i recieved. this may have been cost of gas increase, but plan a bit more budget before you buy. our shipper was excellent. all in all a good service, easy to use.
