That is the best advice I can provide. The 'agents' have no ownership in getting the shipment completed in the best interests of the customer, they seem to only care about the 'deposit' which is their way of making money. Try and find a Owner/Operator that has bid on your shipment. They seem to have more follow through and accountability.

While the user interface isn't quite as nice as I would hope this "eBay for shipping" site would be, it is pretty easy to sign up and get shipping quotes. I had to wait about a week to get the quote I needed, but it was worth it. The shipper I used was very accommodating.
