Wow - it took a while to get a bid that I was able to accept. Plenty of people willing to do it for the regular prices that I can book every day, but waiting for someone who does it for a few hundred less - that took a while. In the end it all worked out, and it was a good experience. Moral of the story - don't be in a hurry, or you'll pay the same price as calling a regular shipper.

I had a 1970 classic Chevy truck that needed to get from n.c. to n.y. The u ship policy on not being able to talk to the provider over the phone before agreeing to the bid was kind of sketchy to me and the multiple deposits concerned me. But in the end when i finally just agreed to a shipment and got an actual person to talk to get the shipment all figured out, it was worth it in the end.
