I bought a bike in Va that was 600+ miles away. With my work schedule, I was not going to be able to go get it anytime soon. I'd never heard of Uship.com until I did a search online. I was very pleased and recommended the site to two of my friends. Both have used Uship and will now spread the word to their friends.

Uship charge more than 25% for there services. You make it seem like I was leaving a deposit for the shipment but really what you were doing is taking your cut plus some $14 fee. The person doing the work should get more. You have a great idea but it is now just software. Don't be surprised if someone mimics you business model. Your shippers have no loyalty to an over charging company.

This is a great site for moving your automobile. You are free of the constant pestering of phone calls and you can check carrier's history and reviews prior to making the booking. And you'd get a fair idea how they measure up. Also, you can see the best carriers at the price. My advise would be don't low-ball too much because then you'd have extremely few choices left. uShip saved me at least two to three hundred dollars. I would say their would be a little more risk involved, but it is negligible if you do your homework in respect to whom you accept a bid from. I had a great experience and an excellent carrier.

I ran across the site and was happy to see such a service existed. Most things were easy, but the confusing part was max bid, vs "ship it now" or whatever its called. Didn't understand that. Also, I'm expecting a refund since upon delivery i had to pay the full original bid amount although I had already paid uShip a deposit...so seems that I'm owed some funds back.
