We are starting a home remodel and are borrowing a friend's backhoe for the winter. The issue: had to get the backhoe down from Tahoe ASAP, before too much snow fell!
Having never transported such a large item, I didn't know where to start. I called a few local transportation places for quotes, then found uShip while doing a Google search. Deciding trying uShip was worth a try.
A great experience. We had quotes coming in within hours & booked our shipment after only 2 days (quick for us, considering all the "moving pieces" in arranging to get the backhoe). Arranging a shipper through the system gave us confidence - being able to see past feedback, compare multiple offers, and have some support if the transport went poorly.
Shipper was reliable and friendly. We met him in person at the pick-up & felt confidence in his services. He dropped the item off in our driveway, exactly where we asked him to.
The uShip site was easy to use & the email messages were helpful. Shipper was excellent. Great way to be introduced to transporting large items!
