My friend had housed my piano for me for about 4 years as her Son was leaning to play at that time. As time went on and he Son’s interest grew and the piano was not becoming one of his interests - it soon became time for me to “get the piano”.
While investigating on how to “move a piano by yourself”, every article I read expressed that it is a “Moderate to Difficult Task” and you will need extra equipment to move it successfully and of course without injury. My piano was not a Grand Piano, nor was it a Baby Grand... just a small Upright. After reading so many articles that emphasized – DON’T DO IT YOUSELF, DON’T DO IT YOURSELF! I then checked out how much it really might be to have somebody else move it for me. That is when I saw UShip!
I listed my piano on UShip and put in the measurements (very easy steps to list what you want shipped). I got bides within a couple of hours! After viewing the details of the bids, I had asked a couple of questions to some of the bidders and my questions were answered promptly! Within about 2 days I hade made my choice and accepted a bid. My Piano was shipped to me within 3 days of accepting a bid and the price was very reasonable!
This was very easy!!! This was so much easier - than having to think about strategies as to how to move a 400-500 pound object with such risk involved. This was actually much cheaper than one doing it themselves! You might be very surprised!!
I wish I would have done this sooner – as I have missed playing the piano for so, so long!!
Thank you Uship!
