Because of the dollar Sterling exchange (UK pound)I wanted to buy a rideon mower in the US. The big problem was shipping an item such as this which was only a part load, and the cost of shipping could negate any advantage of buying in the US. I then discovered Uship but did not immediately realise that it was also usable for shipping overseas, however I had the good sense to ask Uship and found that they included international shipping as well.
The discovery of Uship also meant that I could search around the USA via the web for the best deals as I could now arrange the shipping on line, so I basically did all my shopping, arranging shipping, etc. without having to visit the store or the shipping agent.
All this was only possible because I could get shippers to bid for the shipment, I could then choose which shipper suited my cost or requirements, and I new exactly what I had to pay with no extras.
